May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii

Did you know that today is the 80th annual Lei Day in Hawaii?

Yep, since 1928 everyone on Oahu has been encouraged to wear their favorite leis and celebrate with hula, music and exhibits.

If you find yourself in Hawaii today – lucky you! – head to Kapi’olani Park for the festivities and concert this evening.

For those of us not currently in Hawaii, we can always look at some great photos of leis.
