What is “Aloha Friday”? My blog friend, Kailani, over at An Island Life describes Aloha Friday this way, a “very popular term used in Hawaii. It’s basically a day where we take it easy and look forward to the upcoming weekend – kind of like T.G.I.F.” I’d actually say it’s better than T.G.I.F. When you’re in Hawaii on a Friday, just turn on any radio station and you’ll start to get a sense of what Aloha Friday means.
Kailani has started this fun idea of an Aloha Friday blog post. The way it works is to post a lighthearted photo or video and ask you a fun question. So, the next part is up to you to participate by answering the question in the comments. So, here goes with Go Visit Hawaii’s first Aloha Friday post:

Currently my favorite show openings are a toss up between CHIPs and I Dream of Genie.
OMG! Magnum P.I. I remember that show! Hello, is Tom Selleck a hottie or what? lol
Debo’s answer reminded me of “Bewitched.” LOVED that show and wanted so much to not be a witch, but to have special powers like that. The cartoon beginning was too cute and I always loved watching it.

I liked Bewitched too. I wish I could just wiggle my nose and diner was cooked and the house is clean. Oh the joy that would be!
My favorites are Three’s Company and Desperate Housewives. My more “artsy” faves Six Feet Under and Dexter. Happy Aloha Friday!

I like the intro video and song of Smallville.
Laverne and Shirley and Get Smart! I loved the Laverne and Shirley song and watching them skip on the sidewalk. They made being a grown-up look fun, and I always thought when I grew up I’d get big M’s monogrammed on all my shirts. And I liked the gauntlet of doors on the Get Smart intro.
My favorite would have to be Friends. However, it’s the one where they show everyone if their life had turned out different. Remember that one? It’s hilarious!

No one mentioned Gilligan’s Island. The opening segment of the “island” was filmed near Kaneohe on Oahu. The “rescue” of the castaways ended up in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
My favorite intro though has to be from the original Star Trek series. I still can’t believe the most popular TV show in the universe was canceled after just 3 seasons.
Umm… I don’t watch television. Not ANY. Let’s see if I can think back to one I used to like … OH! I know … I used to LOVE the intro to Little House On The Prairie! The part where Laura would come running down the hill! That was sooooo cute!
