  1. Wow, comprehensive indeed. So many choices, it would be so hard to choose.

In regards to your post last month about the deals at the Sheraton, I could have been typing this from Maui today. 🙂

We are looking to do a week in Maui next December, and definitely want to see the Banyan Tree in Lahaina all lit up.

  2. Hi Kris – there are many choices, indeed! I had no idea this list would turn out to be so long.

We always know you are on Maui in spirit. 🙂

Take lots of photos when you see the Banyan Tree next December.

  3. Correction on the phone number for The Fairmont Kea Lani. It’s 808-875-4100. We have a wonderful Christmas buffet and a 70s Disco themed New Year’s Eve party too!

  4. @ Liza – Mahalo! It takes a long time to put these lists together, believe it or not. So, I’m glad you find it to be useful!

  5. Our family spend a week in Maui last year and made New Year’s eve reservations at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It had been recommended as one of the best celebrations on Maui. Unfortunately, it was vastly overpriced, the food was mediocre, the magic show was terrible and the music was great if you’re 13 years old. We left early — as did a number of other people. My advice is to make reservations at a nice restaurant, enjoy dinner and go for a walk on the beach. New Year’s eve is just not a huge celebration on Maui. If you want to celebrate, I just don’t recommend the Kaanapali.
