The Polynesian Cultural Center’s evening show, Ha: Breath of Life, has just been released on DVD. The show first premiered in 2009 and has been very popular with both locals and visitors. This $3 million evening show features more than 100 performers. (See my full review of Ha: Breath of Life.)
Ha: Breath of Life tells every man’s story through the life of Mana. The story beings at Mana’s birth and follows his journey through the universal life themes of boyhood, young love, respect and responsibility. From the apprehension of youth, to the stirrings of young love, and even the mourning of death, Ha takes the audience on an emotion-filled ride through the sights and sounds of Polynesia.
The DVD features the entire show plus bonus features. It’s available for purchase at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Oahu or online at www.polynesia.com for $30. It is currently on sale online for $19.99

This looks to be very good and insightful. Colorful too. I would love to see it someday. I enjoyed reading the comments of others who have ‘experienced’ the PCC.
A must see if you visit Oahu. We just came their last week and seen the show. It was breath taking. The stage was created beautifully. The performers are excellent. It’s an hour and a half and you enjoy watching every minute of the show.
We have just booked on line an Ambassador Package to watch the new evening show from the front row ! 🙂
Can’t wait to see it!
Last time I was there was 2008 it wasn’t showing yet.
This sounds like a great show. I stayed in Waikiki for Christmas 2009, but I went to a show that was within walking distance. I hope this show is still playing during Christmas 2010. I would love to see it.
Our family has seen this show and really enjoyed and recommend it. We will be back on the Islands this Christmas, so hope to be able to catch another great show like this one to add to our memories of Hawaii. Aloha!
We enjoyed their program during our 2008 visit and I am sure this is an excellent show. It definately was the best show we saw during our visit.
I’ve heard so many good things about this show but never had the opportunity to make it out to Laie. I would love to share the experience with my family and friends (local, domestic and international) via this DVD.
would love to win the dvd Ha:breath of life…want to visit hawaii so bad but have to save for a while…will get there eventually..
My wife and I have been planning a trip to Hawaii for about the last year or so and a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center is high on our list of must-do activities. Given all the positive comments one reads on the WEB, it is hard to imagine anyone passing up the opportunity to experience the Polynesian Cultural Center when visiting Oahu….
we visited the poly cultural center in aug 2008. it was WONDERFUL! it is a must see on your to do list for oahu!
I have been to Oahu many times, but have never visited the Polynesian Cultural Center. We’ll be in Oahu in September and I hope to make it a priority this time. I would love to see Ha: Breath of Life; it sounds beautiful
I would love to show this to my nieces and nephews! They are so fascinated by Hawaii since we talk about it so much. Thanks for the giveaway!
My friends who’ve been to Oahu have loved the Cultural Center. I’m going to Maui for my first trip to Hawaii in a couple weeks, but I plan on another trip in a couple years to visit Oahu and another island or 2.
Looks very insightful. I love Hawaii and all indigenous people and the history of their culture. Being Native American myself, I can identify with similarities in Hawaiian culture and my own.
Saw the show @ PCC two years ago, and it was quite an experience. Can’t wait to return!
What a great idea that they made a DVD of this and that you are giving one away! Haven’t made it to PCC yet but I hope to.
I want to see this!
worth a shot.
I had the opportunity to see this show with my sister back in Janurary of this year. I had seen the other show before this one was made and what a powerful change. I was very impressed with this show and the values it represents. Very beautifully done. I loved it and so did my sister.
I am coming back to Hawaii this fall to stay with my daughter again. I plan on going to see the show again with her family. I would never get tired of seeing the show again and again.
I would love to have the DVD so that I could watch the show anytime I would choose to. I also would love to share it with my family.
I could totally use this for the good memories.
Oh how I miss my Island Home! What a wonderful gift. Thank you for sharing – Mahalo
Ooh how I would love to see the show! I saw Horizons many times – even took my 25 wedding guests to it – and must admit I was sad to hear Horizons was being replaced. However, since Ha: Breath of Life has been playing I have heard so many positive comments and reviews, so I am looking forward to going to see it as well. Unfortunately I know it may be more than a year before I get the chance to see in person. A DVD would shurr be niiice…. 🙂
I have been to HA like 7 times… i cry every time! HA is a MUST SEE!!! 🙂
I’m still working on convincing my husband we need to go to Hawaii soon… this would be the perfect remedy for my “homesickness”!
I’ve seen this show twice and love it! I love it so much that I plan on seeing it again in a few weeks. Winning this DVD would be so awesome as I’ll have the opportunity to watch “Ha: Breath of Life anytime either by myself, with family and/or with friends!
I watched HA earlier this year and I thought it was great. I like how the story flowed thru the whole performance.
Sounds good. We will be in Hawaii in April. We will check it out.
Thanks everyone for participating in this giveaway. I’ll have more to come.
