Hiking Kauai’s Kalalau Trail is a challenging, yet very rewarding experience – even when you’re only hiking the first two miles of this 11-mile long cliff-side trail.
On our recent visit to Kauai, we decided to hike the first two miles in of this trail for a second time. Andy captured video clips along the way to create a video that provides a great overview of Kalalau Trail and what you can expect to encounter.

Have you hiked Kauai’s Kalalau Trail? How would you describe it?

Love the video! Great job! Love the comments so you know what you are looking at. What gorgeous views!! Great pic on the post too. Speaking of great pics….. do you have any idea where you can find wall mural size images of Hawaii? I have looked but found very few. Most are of the Maldives etc. Thanks for another great post!
Janet – I just googled “custom mural” and saw that you can take any high resolution digital photo and have it blown up into a custom mural. Some of our photos are high resolution if your interested in using any of them. They’re all posted here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/govisithawaii/
Thanks Sheila! I actually did look through all of your (many!) and beautiful photots. How do I know which ones are high resolution and what would the fee be for using them?
Have you thought any more about doing a calendar? You have so many great photos!
Great video. My wife and I go to Kauai every year (going again in February – it’s our favorite island) and are planning on doing this again.
Adam, Kauai is awesome. Now, we’ll be expecting an Aloha Friday Photo from you after your trip. 😉
What a beautiful photo. Good going Andy. Hmm now if I could just figure out my camera to do that. 🙂
Thanks everyone. Taking photos and video for Sheila is a tough job, but someone has to do it! 😉
And no, you can’t have my job! 😛
