– A new Big Island accommodation, Lava Lava Beach Club, is about to open in the Waikoloa Beach Resort. I love the sounds of these cottages on the beach. From the press release: “Each of the four contemporary Hawaiian cottages were designed, constructed and decorated to reflect a toes-in-the-sand beach chic lifestyle. With 576 square feet of beachfront real estate found under roof, each cottage includes a private covered lanai, outdoor natural lava rock shower enclosure, a king size bed outfitted with luxurious linens, a punee (Hawaiian for day-bed) in the living room area and a kitchenette.” Rates start at $495 per night.
– Costco members can get a heck of a deal at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort with five nights starting at $1,550. The package includes partial oceanview room, rental car, daily breakfast for two, 2-for-1 luau, car and room taxes plus a $100 resort credit. That works out to be $310 per night with room, car and breakfast combined. See more about this deal.
