If you’ve been waiting on our annual guide of where to see fireworks, enjoy special dining and celebrate New Year’s Eve in Waikiki and Honolulu, we’re pleased to tell you that we’ve created a brand new page for it. You can find the guide here.
Some of this year’s highlights include:
- Fireworks from Waikiki Beach!
- Fireworks and the big Party of the Year shindig returning to Aloha Tower Marketplace.
There are many lavish buffets and prix-fixe dining options in Waikiki. One of the best values is the three-course dinner at Tropics Bar & Grill for $49 per person at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. If you want a very special New Year’s Eve dinner and your budget is not limited, La Mer at the luxurious Halekulani presents an eight-course New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner for $450 per person.
We cover all these highlights and much, much more in the guide — Waikiki, Honolulu & Oahu New Year’s Eve Fireworks, Dining & Events 2015/2016. So, check it out!
Whether you are welcoming in 2016 from Hawaii or somewhere beyond, we’d like to wish you a Hau’oli Makahiki Hou!

Hi. Is there a 2016 travel guide to Hawaii? I will vacation there in Dec 2016. Thank you.
Look for it in December 2016. Most venues don’t announce what they are going to do for the current year until November (at best) or sometime in December.
Hello, how soon should you book for Christmas and new years dinners/events? Thanks
If you have a particular time and venue that you know you want to book, then book it as soon as possible.
Menus and special events aren’t normally announced until December.
Even if you wait until mid-December, you should still be able to book a nice evening. If you wait a little longer, you’ll still probably get a reservation, though it might not be at an ideal time.
