When is the best time to purchase your flights to Hawaii? We can point you to our best resources, but the truth is we don’t know. No one knows!
Though fare predictor tools from major companies have come and completely gone — a testament to the unpredictable nature of airfare pricing — there are a couple of relatively new tools that appear to offer some promising results.
- Cheap Air has created a chart that identifies your prime booking window based on your route and their data. This chart provides detailed and more personalized data beyond their useful, but more generic analysis that 54 days in advance is the ideal booking day. Read more about their new prime window booking chart here. A couple more noteworthy things to mention about Cheap Air:
- Cheap Air offers a price drop payback guarantee of up to $100. If fares drop after your purchase, they’ll offer you a credit of up to $100 towards a future booking. See the terms and conditions here.
- They’re currently offering a $5 off booking through 3/31/16 with promo code SAVINGS.
- Hopper is a free app that “analyzes billions of flight prices daily to predict how prices will change, and tells you when to buy your tickets.” It is completely app/mobile-based. Learn more about Hopper at their website and via this recent TechCrunch news.
Will these two promising predictor tools pass the test of time? We shall see. In the meantime, we still recommend the strategies in this article to get the best airfare in addition to trying these new tools.
