This photo was taken on the grounds of Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park on the Hawaii’s Big Island. You may have heard this park referred to as Place of Refuge. We highly recommend visiting this park not only for its beauty, but also for the excellent view into ancient Hawaiian life an culture. Pu’uhonua o Honaunau is definitely one of the must see attractions on the Big Island.
