Alan snapped this shot of the iconic Duke Kahanamoku Statue in Waikiki. Though we’ve had a few Aloha Friday Photos featuring this statue in the past, this photo is the first one taken at night. You can almost see that the palm trees in the background are gently swaying in the breeze as the tiki torches blaze. We are reminded of how special it is to take an evening stroll in Waikiki.
Alan is on his fifth visit to Hawaii with some of his first visits being with the Australian Navy.
Alan says that he and his wife “adore” Hawaii. I’m sure many of us share those same feelings.
