At first glance, most people might not think that this photo was taken in Hawaii, but it really is. It’s from Sliding Sands Trail at Haleakala National Park on Maui. This summit offers unique views of colorful terrain across a crater floor.
If you’d like to check out this trail to observe these unusual views for yourself, it would be convenient to do so after taking in sunrise from Haleakala.
