These two new changes to Safe Travels Hawaii are now in effect.
Quarantine period reduced from 10 to 5 days
For travelers who do not choose a quarantine exemption option, the quarantine duration has been reduced from ten days to five days. Per health officials, this change is in alignment with the CDC’s recent updates. This change went into effect January 3, 2022.
Note that the vast majority of travelers to Hawaii choose a quarantine exemption either by proof of full COVID vaccination or by proof of an approved, negative pre-travel COVID test.
Safe Travels Health Questionnaire no longer required to receive QR code
Effective January 4, 2022, travelers will not be required to complete the Safe Travels Health Questionnaire prior to departure to receive a QR code. Every other aspect of the Safe Travels digital application remains intact.

thank you for the update.. I’m going to stop in Los Angeles and spend the night before I depart for Hawaii and the less I have to think about 24 hours in advance the better.
I am wondering about using either CommonPass and CLEAR Passs to enter my COVID vaccinations and Booster on one of those , do I need to get their pass before, or after I register on Hawaii Safe travels.
Hi Lopaka – my understanding is that you’ll need to link your pass to your Hawaii Safe Travels account. So, I would think you would need your Safe Travels account first. You may want to verify that with these official resources: Call: 1-800-GOHAWAII or (1-800-464-2924) or Email: info@gohawaii.com
Mahalo, ..I’ll contact them…
Thanks for all of your work and info
