Ah, Kauai is so very scenic and photogenic with many wonderful sightseeing spots. As you drive around the island, there’s no doubt that the jagged green peaks of Kalalea Mountain will catch your eye. Our favorite spot to soak in the views of this mountain is off of Kalalea View Drive in the Anahola area of Kauai. The following photo shows that view.
The most pointy peak is often referred as King Kong Mountain. If you look closely, it resembles the profile of King Kong. From an Aloha Friday Photo from back in 2016, a reader from Italy shared a fun photo where he super imposed King Kong onto the mountain peak. Here’s that photo with thanks to Marco.
