Take me there Tuesday: Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens Park, Maui

Off of Iao Valley Road in this lush region by Wailuku, you’ll find the beautiful Kapaniwai Park and Heritage Gardens. This park honors the cultures that came together in the plantation days and have carried on to create a multi-cultured modern Maui.

Within Kapaniwai Park, you’ll find structures representing Hawaii, early America, Portugal, Japan, China, Korea, and the Philippines. All of these cultures and more have shaped the island of Maui.

The setting for Kapaniwai Park is lovely with gardens and a lush mountain backdrop. The Iao Stream runs beside of this park, which adds to this peaceful place. You’ll definitely want to bring your camera.
