If you are making your plans for a New Year’s Eve vacation to Hawaii … or perhaps looking for somewhere special to celebrate the holiday, we’ve got you covered with our New Year’s Eve island guides. This coming New Year’s Eve is shaping up to be a dazzling time to be visiting the Hawaiian Islands – from beachfront fireworks shows to decadent dining to luau dinner and shows – there’s so much to enjoy this festive evening.
Oahu
There will be at least two fireworks shows on Oahu. Waikiki Beach hosts their annual fireworks show. Plenty of Waikiki restaurants will be open to enjoy a special dinner. For a dinner and show, consider one of several luau options.
From Ewa Beach, Wai Kai, which is a water sports, dining and entertainment complex, will host their second annual fireworks show.
For more details on all the above events and more, see our guide to Waikiki, Honolulu & Oahu new Year’s Eve.
Maui
On the island of Maui, there will be a fireworks show from the beach that fronts the beautiful Grand Wailea resort. If you are not a guest of the resort, we’ve made some suggestions of how to enjoy the evening and catch the fireworks show. See our guide to Maui New Year’s Eve for more details.
Lanai
On the island of Lana’i, Four Seasons Lanai will host a midnight fireworks show at midnight from their Luau Gardens for their guests. Learn more here.
Hawaii’s Big Island
On Hawaii Island, a few hotels are hosting fireworks shows for their guests and patrons. Learn more details from out guide to a Big Island New Year’s Eve.
Kauai
New Year’s Eve on Kauai is looking pretty quiet. So far, there aren’t any public fireworks shows that have been announced. We’ll keep looking and update our Kauai New Year’s Eve page accordingly.
