Mahalo to Olga Morales for sharing this lovely Aloha Friday Photo.
Olga’s photo was taken at the entrance of Byodo-In Temple on the east side of Oahu. It’s at this spot, before crossing the bridge, that visitors catch their first view of the temple. To be sure, it is a stunning scene to behold.
Byodo-In on Oahu was built in the 1960s as a replica of a nearly 1000-year-old Byodo-In Temple in Uji, Japan. In 1968, it was dedicated as a centennial commemoration of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii.
As you can probably gather from Olga’s photo, the scenery here is marvelous. To include a visit of Byodo-In Temple in your vacation, check out our Oahu trip itinerary.
Happy Aloha Friday!
