Brooklyn took this beach shot from Kihei on the island of Maui. We can tell from the shadows that it was taken in the morning hours — thus the “aloha kakahiaka” in the title. Mornings are such a lovely time to take a beach walk in Hawaii. Hardly anyone is out on the beaches in the early morning hours and everything seems extra peaceful and pristine.
