Aloha and welcome to our annual Kauai July 4th guide! Traditionally, there are two main organizers that host Independence Day celebrations on the island of Kauai. In 2025, only one of the venues will be hosting a public event with fireworks.
For the major event that is scheduled for 2025, please note that this Independence Day celebration takes place on July 3rd.
America’s Most West Freedom Fest – Thursday, July 3, 2025
The Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) hosts their annual America’s Most West Freedom Fest on July 3rd. Organizers plan family-friendly activities, live music and the best fireworks show on the island.
Featured performances for this year’s America’s Most West Freedom Fest include High Watah performing before the fireworks and Spawn Breezie performing after the fireworks show.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m. Events begin at 6:00 p.m. with the big fireworks show planned to begin at 9:30 p.m.
PMRF has rules on entry and what can and cannot be permitted. So make sure you check out all those rules. We will post a link with those details when it becomes available.
America’s Most West Freedom Fest is free to attend and is open to all U.S. citizens with valid identification. Public access and guest pass holder entry will be at Kokole gate.

Annual Concert In The Sky – CANCELED for 2025
Unfortunately the 4th of July Concert in the Sky is canceled for 2025. Though this event was originally planned for the 33rd year, organizers canceled it due to safety concerns at the host venue, Vidinha Stadium. Construction around the stadium presents too much of a fire risk to have fireworks in the vicinity.
