Aloha and welcome to our2025 guide to a fun 4th of July on the island of Maui!

4th of July Fireworks Shows on Maui

Wailea (South Maui) Fourth of July Fireworks 2025

A fireworks show is planned at beautiful Wailea Beach, which fronts the Grand Wailea and Four Seasons hotels. This 15-minute fireworks show is set to start at 8:00 p.m.

Lahaina/Kaanapali (West Maui) Fourth of July Fireworks for 2025? – Unfortunately, no.

Sadly, several traditions have been interrupted by restrictions in 2020 and then, the tragic Lahaina fire in August 2023. Lahaina is still trying to recover, rebuild and heal. For decades, Lahaina Town hosted the island’s big fireworks show for Independence Day. In 2024, town organizers decided it was too soon after the fires to host fireworks in West Maui. There will not be a public fireworks show in the Lahaina area for 2025.

Unique Suggestions to See Independence Day Fireworks Shows 2025

As of mid-June, we don’t yet know if there will be a fireworks show in West Maui (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua). If you are staying in those areas and would like to see fireworks, a unique option would be to take one of the special fireworks boat tours that leave from Ma’alaea Harbor in Central Maui. These fireworks boat tours sail to catch the fireworks shows wherever they’re happening.

These fireworks boat tours sell out every year. If you are considering one, you should book quickly. Here’s a list of the July 4th fireworks boat tours for 2025:
