Maui July 4th Fireworks & Celebrations 2026

Aloha and welcome to our guide to a fun 4th of July on the island of Maui! It’s early 2026 and we’re in the process of converting this page from last year’s events to 2026 events. For any event that’s confirmed for 2026, we’ll indicate it with a bold, red 2026.

In previous years, either Lahaina or Wailea have hosted public fireworks shows. We’ve confirmed  that Wailea is hosting a fireworks show for 2026. We are certainly keeping on the look out for 2026 and will make updates to this page as soon as we know.

4th of July Fireworks Shows on Maui

Wailea (South Maui) Fourth of July Fireworks 2026

We have confirmed that Wailea is presenting an Independence Day fireworks show from Wailea Beach at 9:00 p.m. for 2026.

Lahaina/Kaanapali (West Maui) Fourth of July Events

Westin Maui Resort at Ka’anapali Beach hosts several special events for their guests. These festivities include a DJ on the pool deck, oceanfront BBQ, their annual helicopter flower drop at the pool deck, and more. In the evening, the resort will host a drone show from Ka’anapali. While many of these events are intended for the Westin’s guests, the flower drop and the drone show should be visible for the general public from the beach, specifically at the beach area fronting the Westin Resort. 2026

Sadly, several traditions have been interrupted by restrictions in 2020 and then, the tragic Lahaina fire in August 2023. Lahaina is still trying to recover, rebuild and heal. For decades, Lahaina Town hosted the island’s big fireworks show for Independence Day. In 2024, town organizers decided it was too soon after the fires to host fireworks in West Maui. There was not a public fireworks show in the Lahaina area in 2025. Will Lahaina host a fireworks show in 2026? We are still in the process of confirming one way or the other. We will update this page when we have an official decision. We could be wrong, but we don’t think it’s likely that there will be a public fireworks show in Lahaina or West Maui.
